Abstract

Disasters are events that occur within a vulnerable environment with effects that transcend the community response capacity. In this scenario, psychology helps the community to re-establish its own agency. It proposes to use the Sluzki's personal network map as tools to help psychological interventions. The social constructionist stance is important to understand the meanings of the event, through its political-critical practice. This paper aims to make initial intersections between social constructionism, Sluzki's social network map and psychology in the integral management of risks and disasters. These approaches were exemplified through the author's three actions in disaster contexts.
