Abstract

Preschool aggressiveness is a phenomenon that worries parents, teachers and other professionals who works with children. The present study describes a psychological intervention on aggressiveness in the context of early childhood education based on Narrative Therapy. The intervention happened as a school coaching in four moments with two kindergarten classes of a private kindergarten school in a Southern State of Brazil. Participated 21 children aged four to six years-old, their families and four teachers. The intervention showed changes in the relationship among children by themselves and among the teachers, as well as it contributed to the parents’ understanding about specificities of child development, limits and management with children. We present a systemic understanding of the phenomenon which may help psychology students and professionals to take ownership of reflections, tools and management of aggression in preschoolers.
