Abstract

This article aims to present the use of online games for typical and atypical young people - autistic, more specifically the RPG - Role Playing Game, where there is the possibility of assuming the identity of a character and making him grow and develop, within a scenario of fantasy and magic. For decades has been a very well-known type of game, and during the 2020 pandemic it gained even more space among its followers and creators. The text intends to show the social effectiveness for many young people, to bring to light the importance in their lives as a social insertion, even if virtual, and to reflect on the distance and excessive use of games present in the parents’ complaint as an aspect of the conflicting parent-child relationship. and not the cause.
