Abstract

In this article, I will focus on a Tom Andersen’s contribution in my work including the reflecting processes in a school context, presenting a research-action conducted in a private school in Sao Paulo with teachers, students and their parents. I started this journey based on the demand of a school which was interested in providing the possibilities to broaden perception and characterization that the teachers had about their students – on which many times were marked by negative and depreciative denotations. The perspective of the social construction, the collaborative philosophy and the purpose of the reflecting processes were the base of this study with an objective to create a space for dialogic conversations that would enable the improvement of relationships between teachers-students and students-students. The application of this model in the classroom was proved to be viable and useful to create a friendly context to generate questions and possibilities, giving visibility to aspects of the participants’ life that weren’t noticed by them before going through this experience.
